Trimurti. 2017. This series of panels draws on the visual language Haida totems, the materiality of medieval altar pieces, and the Hindu concept of the trimurti—the idea that all of life hangs in the balance between creation, preservation, and destruction. The deconstructed text pushes against the limits of language. Each panel is deliberately challenging to read, but intelligible with patience.

Painted and routed wooden panels. 3x6 feet. Shown installed at the Typeforce 8 exhibition at the Co-Prosperity Sphere in Chicago.
