Maculae 2017. On residency in Iceland during the summer season when the “midnight sun,” was in effect, I made a series of cyanotypes using nature’s most ample light source. The work is indexical of the landscape and my experiences in this place. The project is an exploration of the presence/absence binary—fundamental states of being—with ghostly images and tracings of once-touched, once-encountered objects.

Cyanotypes on paper. Sizes vary. Made at the Fish Factory Creative Centre in the East Fjords of Iceland.
